On December 18 Charles Maynard of Lintlaw, SK, made history as the one millionth passenger of 2007 at the Saskatoon Airport. This a significant milestone, as it marks the first time passenger traffic exceeded the one million mark in a calendar year and is a reflection of the consistent increase in passenger traffic throughout 2007. Charles arrived onboard WestJet flight # 28, traveling from Alberta where he attends school, to visit his parents in Lintlaw over the Christmas break.
Charles was greeted by Saskatoon Airport Authority (SAA) President & CEO, Bill Restall; WestJet Base Manager, Michelle Bourret; and Tourism Saskatoon CEO, Todd Brandt. He was the lucky recipient of a variety of gifts, including round-trip tickets for two on WestJet Airlines, luxury accommodations at the Park Town Hotel, a Glen Scrimshaw print and an array of Saskatchewan-made products.
Passenger Traffic Reaches Record highs for 2007Passenger traffic at the Saskatoon Airport continues a significant growth trend, exceeding 2006 by 8.6%.
